When in Jammu and Kashmir you must go to Ladakh. The lakes in Ladakh attract a lot of tourist attention, more of those who love wildlife and bird watching. The most highly visited lake in Ladakh is the Pangong Lake. It is the largest amongst the three lakes of Ladakh. Tsokar Lake is approximately 45 km northwest of the Tsomoriri Lake. Tsokar lake is also called the ‘white lake’ because of the salt deposited around it, as there is no outlet to the salt, the water of the lake becomes brackish. This salt is sold all over Ladakh.
